About Us

Higher Standards Foundation, Inc. (HSF) is a 501c3, faith-based organization whose continuous effort is to serve as a liaison with community businesses, churches, social and other organizations to develop and coordinate programs to address the various issues facing our youth and families in the areas of counseling, prevention, education and referral services.  We will collaborate with other resources and services to bridge the gap for individuals who need assistance to reach a higher standard of living. 


Our services are complemented and extended by a range of prevention and self-building skills which will include:


  • Social and emotional hands on learning activities; including social skills and character development, conflict resolution, violence prevention, GED tutoring and testing, health referrals, and social security referrals. 

  • Youth Development and Teen Leadership programs, peer education training, and parenting classes. 

  • Job training skills: how to prepare a resume, interviewing techniques, and information on jobs available in the community. 

  • Financial planning such as budgets, explanation of credit reports, how they are used and how to improve them.


Each of these areas of support are provided  through guest speakers, scheduled workshops/ seminars serving the individual needs of clients.  Services where the organization has Board Members available to host a program or trained volunteers are done by this organization, others are referred to other organizations, already established and providing the service.
